Mother Maya is invited to present a Major Address on Living Ahimsa: the Path to Peace in an assembly of extraordinary spiritual leaders at the Convocation of Saints from India -to an audience of several thousand. This assembly is expected to be an outstanding feature of the Melbourne Parliament. Mother Maya offers her wisdom and her vision of Living Ahimsa for a future of harmony in all traditions and healing for all peoples. A stoic advocate for interreligious understanding, Mother Maya's work for peace and her commitment to the upliftment of society spans more than a quarter century.
The Parliament of the World's Religions is the world's largest global inter-religious event. The theme of this year's event is Make a World of Difference: Hearing Each Other, Healing the Earth. Organized by the Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions and hosted by Melbourne, Australia, the 2009 Parliament will bring together over 8,000 people from Australia and around the world, including renowned spiritual, religious and leaders such as the Dalai Lama, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Mother Maya and many more erudite speakers. In addition, Mother also joins spirit with a panel of renowned inter-religious leaders from other traditions to explore harmonious ways that we may work together to support and educate each and every person in the world about cultivating the Inner Medicine® healing potential to harmony, peace and prosperity.
