Regarding Wise Earth Ayurveda® Teachings & Education

Wise Earth School of Ayurveda, Ltd. is the first school for Ayurveda teachings in the USA. It is a non-profit organization with the registered trademark of Wise Earth Ayurveda® which represents our unique Ayurveda Inner Medicine Healing curricula. These teachings have been developed and restored by Sri Swamini Mayatitanandawho belongs to the pre-eminent Veda Vyasa lineage.   We teach this unique model of work in order to preserve and protect the integrity of Ayurveda’s ancient and original grass-roots intention as a non-prescriptive, sadhana lifeway of work and education. 

For eons in the Vedic tradition, the sages and seers have been known to keep the wisdom of the Vedas alive by re-manifesting certain bodies of its massive work, reintroducing them when the time or era demands that particular set of knowledge.  Sri Swamini Mayatitananda’s work of Wise Earth Ayurveda® flows in seamless accord with the infinite wisdom of her Vedic tradition.  The Vedic tradition sees its authors/sages along with their tomes of knowledge as immortal, perennially sustained from timeless beginning to the present day. As an oral tradition, the Vedas is preserved through its parampara-generation after generation by numerous Vedic sages and gurus.  Although many sages take physical birth into the earthly plane of existence, they are not considered just earthly beings that subsist in the present, produce tomes of knowledge, and then disappear into the world of the Pitris to become our ancient ancestors. They are, individually and collectively, seen as the One perennially generating Infinite Consciousness- Brahman- who is born everyday and never dies.

Just like there are many modalities of Yoga, or Meditation, evidenced by Asthanga Yoga, Raja Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and so on. so too there are specific schools of thought in Ayurveda. These schools are generally identified by the names of the Sages who have manifested, or written specific protocols and values for that body of work. In the case of Sri Swamini Mayatitananda's work for Wise Earth School, we have identified this unique sadhana school of thought as Wise Earth Ayurveda® to demonstrate its unique educational model as opposed to the clinical, and prescriptive models inherent in the deluge of modern Ayurveda schools.

To appropriately differentiate this exquisite body of work and knowledge from other bodies of work in this genre, we have registered our trademark of "Wise Earth Ayurveda" as an identification mark unique to our inner medicine healing model in Ayurveda.

It is not the intention of Wise Earth School to wager claim to the generic work of “Ayurveda”, or "Yoga", or to any portion of the vast Vedic sciences of knowledge.  Indeed, we strongly support India's Vedic advocacy and its position and claims to its knowledge and intellectual property rights against profit driven organizations and corporations who stake commercial claims to the Vedic largesse of knowledge, its natural plants, medicines, herbs, foods, and so on.
