Earth Sveda
True
to the meaning of the word "bhu," belonging to the earth,
this sveda is performed directly on the earth. Like kumbhika,
holaka, kupa and karshu, bhu sveda is another ancient Ayurvedic
therapy practiced at the Wise Earth School.
  
There
are no substitutes for the therapies that use mud or that
are administered on the earth. The earth's magnetic and
healing properties lend themselves completely to rejuvenation
for the person receiving svedana. Therapies performed directly
on the earth invoke feelings of connectedness to Mother
Nature and are a vital stimulant for awakening cognitive
memory.
